Amber’s current work focuses on grassland research and agricultural extension through the national Grassland Learning and Knowledge Hub. With over a decade of hands-on experience on mixed farms across Canada and Europe—and her own small flock of sheep—Amber brings both science and practice together to support regenerative grazing systems and stronger kinship with the land.
In the process of starting a regenerative farm in northern Ontario, Amber holds a Master of Biology with a thesis on water quality and amphibian health in agro-ecosystems. Her bachelors is in Environmental Science, specializing in global change and hydrogeology. Prior to working for CFGA she was a researcher in an agro-ecosystem health and sustainability lab at Agriculture and Agri-Foods Canada and an aquatic toxicology lab with the National Wildlife Research Centre.
