The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association is hitting the road to celebrate the International Year of Rangelands & Pastoralists and the incredible producers who steward Canada’s native prairie.

Proposed itinerary  

Friday July 3 – Guests begin arriving, Regina, SK

Host hotel – Days Inn by Wyndam Regina Airport West 

Saturday July 4 – Pick up at 1 p.m., Regina

Travel to west 

3 p.m. Producer project tour stop, two hours – Water on the Prairies

5 p.m. Reboard, travel to Swift Current, SK  

Supper at Living Skys Casino

Forage talk, TBD
Host hotel – Home Inn & Suites, Swift Current 

Sunday July 5 – Pick up at 8 a.m. 

Travel to Val Marie – Bus presentation – Range Health Assessment Applications & Update

10 a.m. – Producer grassland tour 

Lunch, 12 - 1:30 p.m. – Val Marie Community Center 

1:30 p.m. Grasslands National Park, West Block tour

5 p.m. Supper, Val Marie Hotel, 

6 p.m. Travel to Maple Creek 

8 p.m. Arrive at Maple Creek 

Host hotel – Willowbend & Maple Creek Motor Inn

*Optional Jasper Hotel – Nightcap tour 

Monday July 6 – Pick up 8 a.m.

10 a.m. Bow Island, Tyler Torie  

Oldman River Watershed presentation

12 p.m. Lunch from Rolling Pin Cafe, serve to legion  

Brooks Feedlot - TBD

Antelope Creek Ranch – Habitat Development Area
