The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association is pleased to sponsor the Saskatchewan Prairie Conservation Action Plan’s (Sask PCAP) Native Prairie Speakers Series webinars. Join speakers Tehlu Singh and Bea Prieto to hear an overview of the 2025 Swift Fox survey that was led by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment to update this species’ distribution in our province.

About this Webinar: This webinar will provide an overview of the 2025 Swift Fox survey that was led by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment to update this species’ distribution in our province. This survey covered a total of 472 camera stations in the southwest part of the province. We want to thank all organizations that provided support and all producers that allowed us to access their land to setup the cameras, we could not have done it without them all!

About the Speakers:

Tehlu Singh: Tehlu is a Conservation Biologist with the Biodiversity Analytics and Conservation Unit of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment. His current work focuses on species at risk in the South of the Divide region, including assessing the distribution of burrowing mammals and supporting conservation planning and project review processes.

Bea Prieto: Terrestrial Ecologist with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment for the last 15 years, Bea is a biologist with extensive experience in different species and landscapes. Growing up in a ranching family, she was exposed to the challenges of Species at Risk and wildlife management with the local producers and has spent her career trying to weave conservation on working landscapes.

Hosted by: Caitlin Mroz-Sailer, Stewardship Coordinator, Prairie Conservation Action Plan Presenting

Sponsors: Canadian Forage and Grasslands Association, North American Helium, Pembina, Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association and SaskTel
