Join the New Brunswick Soil and Crop Improvement Association (NBSCIA) for a field day focused on water conservation and nutrient management in potato production.
The morning session will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fermes Lionel & Alyre Poitras Ltée. Jean-Louis Daigle, a specialist in soil and water conservation, will lead a discussion on terracing systems, grassed waterways and complementary agronomic practices in potato production.
In the afternoon, participants are invited to GAM Michaud Farms for a session on nutrient management in potatoes. This portion of the event will begin with lunch at 12:30 p.m. and continue until 2:00 p.m. Charles Karemangingo, Soil Management Specialist with NBDAAF, will speak about the optimal management of nitrogen and other nutrients in potato production.
