The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA) is pleased to participate in a field tour at the Mattheis Research Ranch on July 15. As one of the CFGA’s demo sites, the Mattheis Research Ranch is managed by the University of Alberta s as a custom grazing operation.
The field day will start at the Mattheis Research Ranch headquarters (https://maps.app.goo.gl/iy2yJj93272WDDKLA) where registrants can park their vehicles and board a bus to travel to several stops on the ranch. Stops will include discussions on topics related to research on the ranch, producer perspectives, a drone demonstration, plant identification exercise, and more!

Registration includes a hot lunch.
* For cattle health and biosecurity reasons, please wear clean footwear or boots that have NOT been on another cattle operation. A footwear washing station & sanitizer will be available at the headquarters as you arrive and depart, as needed.
Please be aware that some of the locations will involve walking into field sites, so dress appropriately and comfortably for the day and wear sturdy footwear. The ability to walk on uneven terrain is required.
