Back To All

The Ontario Forage Council is hosting a series of Grazing Plan Workshops in March and April 2025, in collaboration with the Canadian Forage and Grassland Association’s Advanced Grazing Systems Program.

Do you need a grazing plan? It doesn’t matter if you need one to apply for funding or to help you plan your operation, this is the workshop for you! Our mentors will help guide you through the process of creating your grazing plan, from your herd plan to building in contingency, paddock design, and how to map your farm with Google Earth.

Come prepared to do the work! While our mentors will answer your questions, completing the plan is entirely on you!

Additional resources will be provided to participants after the workshop so you can continue working on your plan.

Dates:
March 24 & 26, 2025: 7pm to 9pm EST on Zoom

April 5, 2025: 10am to 3pm EST in Codrington, ON

April 12, 2025: 10am to 3pm EST in Markdale, ON

Cost:
$25 per person. This fee is to hold your space due to the high demand. If you attend the workshop, you will go home with $25.

What you need to bring:
A laptop (if available) and a printed map of your farm. Lunch will be provided for the in-person workshops.

If you need assistance registering, please email [email protected] or call 519-986-1484.
