Join Grey Wooded Forage Association and Olds College to discover the future of pasture management at its interactive field day!

Laio Sobrinho, research manager, and Brianna Gratton, techgronomist at Olds College, will demonstrate and discuss the technologies being studied at the Smart Farm. They will showcase the rising plate meter, water level sensors, electric fence monitors and nitrate meter and explain how these tools can be used to improve pasture management and support rotational grazing practices.

Attendees will start the day at Pitstra Farms for a field tour where they will have the opportunity to see these technologies in action. In the afternoon participants can enjoy presentations about the nutrition composition of Alberta pastures research by Abby Redman and specialty forages by Grant Lastiwka.
