Tom is a dairy cattle specialist with Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Tom earned his Ph.D. from the University of Guelph in dairy cattle nutrition and metabolism. He has been an advisor to Progressive Dairy Operators executive board and works across the industry including his work on the Ruminant Feed Industry Day annual meeting for feed advisors. Tom works out of the Department of Animal Biosciences in Guelph, where he is also an adjunct professor.
