As Director of Research and Knowledge Transfer at the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA), Dr. Angela Straathof leads a team responsible for delivering on-farm research trials and ensuring their results are effectively shared with Ontario farmers. Before joining OSCIA, Angie was a Research Associate at the University of Manchester’s Soil and Ecosystem Ecology group, studying soil organic carbon cycling in upland grazing systems in the north of England. Her PhD is in Soil Biology and Chemistry from Wageningen UR in The Netherlands. The OSCIA is a not-for-profit farmer member organization specializing in delivery of applied research and cost-share incentive programs, and farmer educational workshop delivery.
