High Performance Forage Workshop

A three-day intensive training workshop on seed selection, multi-species forage establishment, quality and production improvement, and harvest/storage optimization.

Overview:
The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA) has developed a three-day intensive training workshop to be offered to interested parties across Canada. As the recognized national forage organization, the CFGA strives to develop further resources to support the production and marketability of Canada’s forage industry. This workshop will provide an opportunity for agronomists and technical teams to further develop their knowledge of forage performance to better support producers and growers across Canada. This workshop will be open to agriculture and environmental staff, agrologists, and other industry professionals, and will be offered both in-person in Manitoba and virtually.

Details:
This workshop will take place on March 5th-7th, 2025 at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, with a virtual attendance option.

Led by Dr. Dan Undersander from the University of Wisconsin, with support from subject matter experts, attendees will be walked through a comprehensive, detailed agenda over three days. Breakout discussions and activities will allow for theoretical knowledge application for attendees’ respective contexts.

Attendees are expected to participate throughout the workshop, with continuing education units (CEUs) available for CCAs attending in person upon workshop completion.

The workshop will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a virtual attendance option. Continuing education units will be available for in-person attendees. French translation available for virtual attendees.
