The Canadian Forage and Grassland Association (CFGA) is hosting a High Performance Forage Workshop from March 5 to 7, 2025, in partnership with Dr. Dan Undersander from the University of Wisconsin.

Tailored to help agronomists, agrologists and forage advisors better support producers and enhance forage performance across Canada, this hybrid event takes place in person at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. Those who can’t make it in person now have the option to attend virtually.

Dr. Undersander will lead the workshop with support by senior subject matter experts. Over three days, participants will dive into topics such as:

  • Seed selection
  • Multi-species forage establishment
  • Quality and production improvement
  • Harvest/storage optimization

This workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to further develop their knowledge of forage performance to better support producers and growers across Canada. Discussion groups throughout each day will allow for theoretical knowledge application for attendees’ respective situations in workshopping opportunities.

Attendees are expected to participate throughout the workshop, with continuing education units (CEUs) available for Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs) attending in person upon completion of the workshop.

A full agenda is available on the CFGA calendar. Note the agenda is subject to change.

Visit the event page for more information and to register. Note, the deadline for in-person registration is Feb. 25 and the deadline for virtual registration is March 4.
